In 1986, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and visions of his own firm, John Ferguson founded Ferguson Properties, Inc. starting with a partnership to develop a 200-acre industrial park. That successful development led to many more, built on a commitment to quality, top-notch service and solid lasting relationships, many of which continue today.
Our company has evolved over the years and now exclusively specializes in the retail and hospitality sectors, providing Tenant Representation, Landlord Representation, Brokerage and Development.

Meet Our Team
John H. Ferguson
President and Founder
John is an experienced financial executive with a proven record of success in commercial banking, land acquisition, project development, hotel development, and real estate syndication. In addition to his leadership role as President of Ferguson Properties, John has served as President or Chairman of numerous community and financial-based organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Council, and the Missouri Real Estate Board. John's current focus is the company's burgeoning hotel development division. John enjoys spending time with his wife, Judy, their three children and their children's growing families. He is an avid golfer and a fan of K-State, his alma mater.
Executive Vice President
Jay graduated from the University of Kansas, majoring in Business Communications. After college, he went to work for the Eli Lilly & Company pharmaceutical company and lived in Springfield, MO for three years. He made the switch to Ferguson Properties in 2005 and is now the Executive Vice President, overseeing the broker staff. He specializes in Tenant Representation, Landlord representation, Retail Brokerage and Retail Development. In his free time, Jay likes to spend time with his wife, Rebecca and their daughter, or out on his farm, where he raises Angus cattle.
Jay's tenant client list includes: Academy Sports + Outdoors, Andy's Frozen Custard, Cato Fashions, Dollar General, El Pollo Loco, Heartland Dental Care, MySalon Suites, Office Depot/Max, Pie Five, Tesla, Versona Accessories and Xpress Wellness Urgent Care.
His landlord client list includes: Alberta Development Partners, Inc., CBL Properties & Associates, Falcon Realty Advisors, Hunt Properties, Inc., NewQuest Investment Company, Professional Resource Development, Inc., VEREIT and Walton Street Capital.
Jeff graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a major in Agricultural Business. He joined Ferguson Properties in 2005 and currently serves as Vice President. Jeff focuses on tenant representation and hotel development and is an active member of ICSC. He works exclusively with tenants like O'Reilly Automotive and landlords such as VEREIT. Jeff is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time on his cattle ranches.
Jeff's tenant client list includes: Cato Fashions, O'Reilly Automotive, Sonic Drive-In, Taco Bell and Versona Accessories.
His landlord client list includes: Professional Resource Development, Inc. and VEREIT.
Jordan graduated from Kansas State University with a B.A. in Geography. He also earned a Master's of Urban Planning from the University of Kansas, with a dual concentration in real estate development/finance and urban design. After earning his Master's, Jordan spent five years working as a Research Analyst for CGI Federal. Jordan has been an associate at Ferguson Properties since early 2014 and is involved with tenant representation, brokerage, and landlord representation. Currently, he represents about 350,000 SF of leasable retail and office space. In his free time, Jordan enjoys following K-State athletics, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Office Manager/Executive Assistant
Taylor joined our team in May of 2017, accepting the role of Office Manager as well as Executive Assistant for Jay. Taylor comes to us from Retail Management, where she acted as general manager as well as managed a full service bar and grill. She graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Food Business and Operations Management with a focus is business management. She handles all our accounts receivable, accounts payable, and ensures that the daily operations run smoothly. Taylor also just got her Missouri real estate license.
When Taylor is not organizing the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 6 year old son. She’s also an avid outdoors woman and loves spending time on their couple acre farm with their 100lb chocolate lab, Moose.
Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant
Megan joined the team in May 2017, accepting a dual role under Ferguson Hotel Development. She serves as the Administrative Assistant for FHD, and the Executive Assistant to John Ferguson, who is the President and Founder and Jeff Sharp, who is Vice President. She is a native of Kearney, MO. She is a professional who has a passion for learning and numbers. After earning her Associate's Degree, Megan plans to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Business Accounting and Finance, because not only can she manage today's revenue, she can also anticipate tomorrow's profits! On the weekends, Megan likes to spend time with family and close friends.
Colleen Bradbury, CCIM
Colleen graduated from Wichita State University in May 2015 where she majored in Marketing with an Emphasis in Real Estate. After earning her degree, Colleen moved to Kansas City and joined Block Real Estate Services, LLC (BRES) as a retail sales associate for two years. At BRES she was responsible for leasing retail space in existing shopping centers, shopping centers under development, and tenant representation throughout the Kansas City Metro. Colleen has been a commercial sales associate at Ferguson Properties, Inc. since October of 2017. She specializes in retail property leasing, sales, and tenant representation in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Colleen is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Women in Commercial Real Estate Development (WIRED), and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Colleen's tenant client list includes: Casey's General Store, Liquor Houzz, Maru Sushi & Grill, Dunkin Donuts and several others.
Her landlord client list includes: Epoch Development, SSIC, INC, NewQuest Properties, Walton Street Capital, Super Market Developers, INC, Asset Management Group, and Big Shopping Centers USA.
